Lawns
Shadow-resistant
Shaded lawns occupy insignificant areas, since they are installed in shaded parts of parks and gardens. Due to the properties of grass types used by us to create a shadow-resistant lawn, it can withstand low-sunlight conditions and increased humidity and the resultant low acidity of the soil. The advantage of a shaded lawn is that it does not need to be mowed frequently.
Growing conditions and care. Despite its simplicity, a shaded lawn requires a certain amount of care. Otherwise it will become overgrown with high grass and weeds. It will suffice to mow a shaded lawn once per month, since its growth slows down as a result of a shortage of sunlight and warmth. Yet, soil aeration has to be performed by puncturing it with aerators or pitchforks. This will supply roots with air and prevent anaerobic processes in the soil. Watering should be performed as may be required, with care taken to prevent water logging of the shaded soil area. Fertilizing is performed similarly to other lawn types.
